How to mix any color from a basic acrylic or gouache palette

The color mixing tool helps you turn any color - a HEX code or a shade picked from the picker - into a simple recipe made from paints that are already in almost every basic acrylic or gouache set. No brand names, no guessing proportions: just the ratio to mix.

How it works

1. Pick a color. Use the color picker or type a HEX code directly.
2. Get the recipe. The tool calculates the closest match from a small set of base pigments and shows the mixing ratio.
3. Mix and paint. Follow the ratio with any acrylic or gouache paints you have - the recipe isn’t tied to a specific manufacturer.

Why the result is sometimes approximate

Some colors are physically impossible to reproduce from a limited set of base pigments. In that case, the tool shows the closest achievable match and marks it as approximate, so you know what to expect before mixing.
