How to choose a photo for paint by numbers
Not every photo converts equally well into a paint-by-numbers canvas. Here’s what to look for before you upload one.
1. Good contrast
The more clearly light and dark areas differ, the better the algorithm finds object boundaries.
2. A simple background
A flat or blurred background produces fewer stray tiny regions.
3. Not too much fine detail
If the photo has a lot of fine detail (lace, text, ornate patterns), you’ll need to raise the detail level — otherwise it will blur into a single blob.
